JBL GTO subwoofers include die-cast aluminum baskets, polypropylene cones, rubber surrounds and a unique tinsel wire protector that also strengthens joints between the cone, the voice coil and the spider. The GTO1214 has a peak power handling of 1400 watts and a frequency response of 23Hz–400Hz. Stands are well made, sturdy and look good. I was able to mount my Klipsch 500 suunorrd sound speakers with ease. Minor issue were some left over burrs in the speaker wire holes. Had to remove burrs with a screwdriver to let my RCA 14 gauge wire pass through. The stands are stable over carpet, and do not tip over easily. Very happy overall with my purchase, and recommend them highly. (Posted on 11/05/12)
