Welcome to Parallel Imported. The terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Parallel Imported.

Parallel Imported operates this website and store, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”) to provide customers with a curated shopping experience. Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”), together with any policies referenced herein (including our Privacy Policy, Delivery Policy, Returns Policy, Warranty Policy, and Payment Policy), govern your access to and use of the Services.

Please read these Terms carefully. They contain important information about your legal rights, including warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability.

By visiting, interacting with, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use or access our Services.

SECTION 1 — ACCESS & ACCOUNTS

By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your place of residence, or that you have consented to allow any minor dependents to use the Services under your supervision.

To access certain Services or place an order, you may be required to provide information such as your email address, billing details, payment information, and shipping address. You warrant that all information provided is accurate, current, complete, and that you are authorised to provide it.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity conducted through your account. Accounts may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to another person.

SECTION 2 — PRODUCTS & AVAILABILITY

We make every effort to accurately display product information, images, and descriptions. However:

  • Product colours and appearance may vary depending on your device and screen settings
  • Stock availability is not updated live
  • Product descriptions, pricing, and availability may change without notice
  • We reserve the right to discontinue products or limit quantities at any time

Accessories shown may be sold separately. Release dates are subject to change.

SECTION 3 — ORDERS & ACCEPTANCE

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Parallel Imported reserves the right to accept or decline any order at its discretion.

An order is not accepted until:

  • Payment has been successfully processed, and
  • We have confirmed acceptance of the order

We may cancel or amend an order if:

  • Payment cannot be verified
  • Required verification documentation is not provided
  • Stock is unavailable
  • Pricing or listing errors occur

If an order is cancelled, any payment received will be refunded using the original payment method.

Orders are for personal or household use only and may not be purchased for resale, export, or commercial use.

SECTION 4 — PRICING & PAYMENT

Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is accepted.

Prices do not include shipping fees, duties, or surcharges unless expressly stated.

Payment Methods

  • Credit card payments are processed securely and immediately
  • Internet banking / direct deposit payments must be completed within 5 working days (or 3 working days for back‑orders), or the order will be cancelled

You warrant that:

  • You are authorised to use the payment method provided
  • All payment information is accurate
  • Charges incurred will be honoured by your payment provider

SECTION 5 — SECURITY & VERIFICATION

All orders are subject to security verification procedures. We may request documentation to verify your identity or payment method.

Failure to provide requested documentation within 5 days may result in order cancellation and refund.

These procedures are used to prevent fraud and protect customers and are recommended by our banking partners.

SECTION 6 — SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, weather events, customs processing, or other factors outside our control.

Risk of loss passes to you once goods are handed to the carrier.

Delivery fees, surcharges, exclusions, Click & Collect terms, and overnight delivery conditions are governed by our Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

We do not deliver to PO Boxes or suspicious addresses.

SECTION 7 — RETURNS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Returns, refunds, exchanges, restocking fees, and exclusions (including Final Sale items, Hot Deals, and Back Orders) are governed by our Returns Policy.

Change‑of‑mind returns are not guaranteed and are assessed in accordance with New Zealand consumer law.

Back‑ordered and special‑order items may be cancelled only under the conditions outlined in our Returns and Delivery Policies.

SECTION 8 — WARRANTY & REPAIRS

All products are covered by our Warranty & Repair Policy and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Warranty exclusions include (but are not limited to):

  • Liquid or moisture damage
  • Impact or wear‑and‑tear damage
  • Software or firmware modification
  • Improper care of IP‑rated devices

Warranty assessments may require a refundable service deposit.

SECTION 9 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the Services, including text, images, graphics, trademarks, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to Parallel Imported and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may use the Services for personal, non‑commercial use only. Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.

SECTION 10 — OPTIONAL TOOLS & THIRD‑PARTY LINKS

We may provide access to third‑party tools or links. These are provided “as is” and we do not control or endorse them.

Your use of third‑party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

SECTION 11 — SHOPIFY RELATIONSHIP

Parallel Imported is powered by Shopify. However, all purchases are made directly with Parallel Imported.

Shopify is not responsible for sales, products, delivery, refunds, or disputes. You expressly release Shopify from all claims relating to your transactions with us.

SECTION 12 — FEEDBACK & REVIEWS

By submitting reviews, feedback, or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty‑free, worldwide licence to use such content for any purpose.

You confirm that your submissions are lawful, accurate, and do not infringe third‑party rights.

SECTION 13 — ERRORS & CORRECTIONS

We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time, including after an order has been placed.

SECTION 14 — PROHIBITED USES

You may not use the Services for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes, including violating intellectual property rights, transmitting malware, or engaging in harassment or deception.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.
